Atheros AR5006X not working on W-Vista Ultimate

I upgraded my OS from XP to W-Vista Ultimate and now the AR5006X wireless network adapter is not working in my laptop...searched unsuccessfully for a solution. Has anyone seen something that might help me out here.

Thanks,
Ed

System Specs

Hi there and welcome to DriverHeaven!

What laptop you have? Since Atheros isn't making the drivers for it's chips the laptop manufacturer might have the needed drivers.

Hi temeteus82

I have a Fujitsu laptop, Model A3040. It's nothing special. I appreciate your reply greatly. However, I've decided to go ahead and disable the integrated Atheros AR5600X wireless adapter and buy a Netgear RangeMax wireless USB 2.0 adapter, Model WPN111. While the old integrated adapter (AR5006X) was rated at G, the new USB adapter (WPN111) is rated at G+ and G(MIMO). This is working out excellent for me and is a lot more responsive than the old integrated adapter ever was. Internet content uploads and downloads a lot quicker. It's nice! Additionally the new USB wireless adapter gives me the flexibility of upgrading later to the next rating (802.11/n).

Thanks for your reply though and I appreciate your willingness to help me out.
