how to backup program settings?
In windows XP they had a simpler system files and settings backup program. Vista has a good one, but its only for files. I have finally somehow got my media streaming working and do not ever want to lose these damn settings. How can i back it up without installing any software packages or buying something like norton ghost? XP let me back up just my settings, made life easier.

If you won't buy Ghost, you may want to try DriveImage XML which is free. I must admit that I haven't tried it myself yet, but I've read positive reviews and, as they say, while it doesn't have some advanced capabilities, it will make an image of your drive and later be able to restore it. Also, Windows Vista help says: "Windows Complete PC Backup creates a backup image, which contains copies of your programs, system settings, and files."
