hiding account from welcome screen.
I have vista ultimate x64 installed on my thinkpad with a fingerprint reader, and on bootup it shows my user account and next to it in another account block "fingerprint logon" I want to hide my account because I log on by swiping my finger. I tried doing the regedit> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> Software> Microsoft> Windows NT> CurrentVersion> Winlogon> SpecialAccounts> UserList
and adding a DWORD entry with my username "Dan" and setting it to "0" to hide, but for some reason it just adds another account block (that's blank) at logon where you can type username and password, still showing "Dan" as an option. Any way to just hide my User account so I only see "Please scan your fingerprint?" this is on my T60p laptop. thanks! Dan Last edited by mxrev134; Jun 4, 2008 at 10:41 PM. Reason: typo |
