Vista side panel
I prefer to run windows with the classic look, mainly to save resources and make it a bit speedier. Though, doing this results in a boringly gray sidepanel and that's very very ugly. I know I can detach apps and move them around and then close the sidepanel in itself but if I do this I have to do it every time I start it up.
I've tried to find any way to change the colour of it but I can't find anywhere. Preferably I'd set it to the same colour as the desktop background but it doesn't seem to be possible to do, or is it? |

Re: Vista side panel
Not sure I disabled the side panel while installing SP1 as it can cause installation conflicts with the service pack. I have never re-enabled it on this machine and always disable it with new installations.

Re: Vista side panel
I have it disabled too but I've been playing around with some interesting gadgets and some of them look rather nice. Though, I'll probably end up keeping it disabled, just curious.

Re: Vista side panel
Interesting I haven't played with it much myself though.
