Post SP2 Cleanup
Just like SP1, you can run an exe file that will clean up your PC after installing SP2. This will mean that you cannot uninstall SP2 but why would you??
1. Click Start>All Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt or click Start>Run and type cmd to open Command Prompt Windows 2. Execute the command “Compcln.exe”. The path is “c:\Windows\System32 \compcln.exe”. 3. Users will be prompted a question whether to keep Vista SP2 permanently in the system. 4. Once users type “Y” and press enter, the system will start performing the windows components clean. This procedure got me back about 1Gb on my already straining C: drive!!

Re: Post SP2 Cleanup
u sure about that? there's no such file on my vista machine.
*edit* scratch that. I just assumed that file was part of Vista to begin with ... but i see it installs itself with SP2 only ![]() You can simply go to C:\Windows\System32 and double click on compcln.exe (no need to go through the cmd prompt) live links allowed? here: C:\Windows\System329\compcln.exe that's it, then hit Y didn't clear much room at all on my system ... will see after this reboot...
