random post
For few days I had to use XP with my netbook. Aside the obvious general slow down, the whole bugginess, (I will refrain from using words I want to use) of using XP came back and it was a shock. For the people who still claim XP is better, WAKE UP.

Re: random post
having vista as my primary OS for just about 6 months, i'd have to say that i still prefer winXP over vista. i say this primarily over the fact that winXP is more familar to me, and also because some of the "features" of vista are actually rather annoying.

Re: random post
I have quite the opposite.. Whenever I use a pc with xp I notice I've become so used to vista and its lay-out I really have trouble finding things on it.
In that respect I really like vista.. But I guess I will say the same about windows 7 when I've used it for some time.. haha

Re: random post
I use XP, never owned Vista so no judgment, but have used Win7 and sorry to say XP blows it away for what I do and on my systems (4 of them) I've never seen XP to be buggy, it's plenty fast, so I have no problems with XP....... I do have major problems with Win7 though.
Oh yeah, I AM AWAKE and no, the earth isn't flat. Why should you have a beef about which OS I prefer? I'm not trying to force you to use it, use whatever you want, I would expect the same, let me use what works.

Re: random post
oh, I'm totally with you. You just use whatever works the best for you mate, I would be the last to force you to use a specific OS.
as for the flat world.. some people might disagree Flat Earth Society - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Re: random post
I agree Ty use whatever works for you and I think Zardon summed that up nicely on a post on the Linux forum I quoted.
I progressed from Win98SE to XP and used it for years (not even talking about Me my Dell came with )I changed to Vista on this machine which is pretty much the same machine I ran XP on with the exception of a new video card and DVD burner. Going back to XP for some video driver experiments I can assure everyone that XP is so painfully slow compared to Vista it is pathetic. But as was said we all choose what we use and XP served me well for years. It was perhaps one of the most stable OS's Microsoft released but it's time has come much like 98SE in it's day.

Re: random post
i DON'T KNOW IF i'D MENTIONED THIS BEFORE, but XP plagued my PC with internet connection problems ever since it's release. When I upgraded my modem I was then plagued with hardware and software incompatibilities right up until I installed Vista which has been a Dreamfall eversince.
Before XP though I used Windows ME for years which was also bugworthy constantly like every use. As for the flat world theory I think Vista is flat compared to Windows 7. Windows 7 is a giant step up and forward from Vista's flaky, bug ridden and then patched environment. LOL. I would never go back to Linus though after it failing to run on first use. Makes Buggy Windows seem like a Dreamare. I can't wait to see if Windows 10 can take me on. I'm ready Microsoft. I've trained and trained I've punsihed myself and overcome all faults. Can your OS handle that? |
