screen alligned to right, how to reverse
I've got a question, it's not really a question of me, but of my sister.
She's got a computer at work and now suddenly her whole desktop has been alligned to the right. So everything that used to on the left of the screen (like the start button and icon's) is now on the right, and vica versa (the clock and the [X] in different windows). It is not like it is mirrored, so text is still readable, but everything is alligned to the right. It's like there is a mirror on the left side of the screen, and you see the mirror image, but you can still read the words (I hope this explains what I mean). How do you reverse this, is the question? I have no idea. I did a quick search through my own vista and the control panel, but I didn't find anything.

I have never heard of this before.
Is she using some custom GUI? The only thing I can think of, and I am sure it won't be of help, is to right click on the taskbar and click on Lock The Taskbar so that it is unchecked. Then drag and drop the taskbar like if it was a window, to the left side.

Re: screen alligned to right, how to reverse
that's the thing. it's only her and a coworker.. both of them aren't computer savvy so even the word custom GUI would confuse them.
About the taskbar.. it's still on the lower side of the screen, it's just that the start button is on the right, and the clock is on the left. it's really a case of, left is right and right is left. She says it was this way suddenly, one day it was fine, the next it was like this. It's confusing the hell outa me because I've never heard or seen this before either..

Perhaps someone is playing games on them, or it is some virus/spyware/etc program.
Have they used any new program/game or visited a new website or something? Run an anti virus and anti spyware on them just to be safe. I have never heard of this before. Any chance of a photo or screenshot?

Re: screen alligned to right, how to reverse
I never heard of this either, could very well be spy-ware/virus doing it but I also wonder if something like this could be part of the "accessability" options for handicapped people??? I wouldn't know why. But there's some weird options in there and something like this just sounds weird enough.
What version of Windows? (if you posted that, I missed it)

vista is one I don't have, so I don't know if that "accessability" thing applys..... worth a look while a scan is running I guess.

Re: screen alligned to right, how to reverse
I checked through the control panel for Vista on my machine here and don't see anything to right align. Very strange and a virus scan might be a good idea as well as a screen shot on Monday like you said Neshi.
The only time I have seen things right aligned is for people using languages that read from right to left like Hebrew.
