Is Windows Vista Beta 1 64 bit only?
I thought I read somewhere awhile back where vista was only going to be 64 bit, but I cant seem to find out the requirements anywhere. I saw somewhere where it said it would run on todays mainstream computers, but it wasnt specific. Do you know if the beta is 32 or 64 bit? and How about the officical version?
Thanks

Most likely seperate. Gates - "We'll make 2 different ones, so when people upgrade from 32 bit, they'll want to buy a whole new OS! Muahahah I'm ingenious....."

I thought about trying to get my hands on it, but after using the beta version of IE i will definitely wait for Beta 2.

sure sure....go out and be different than everybody else. just try and game on your pc w/o needing to "emulate" windows on your linux box. only thing i find linux good for are servers.

Indeed Linux isn't great for gaming but it's improving. However, I'm typing this on a non-gaming laptop running a distro of Linux. It's never run better, and works quite well.

AFAIK, Vista will come on one DVD, where it will default to 32 or 64bit depending on your processor. Of course if you want to have 32bit OS with your 64bit CPU, you will be able to change that.
