Vista Beta Testers

I am waiting for my beta test kit for this to try out at home. Been seeing it at work for a while now.

Any other Beta testers (official not guys that downloaded the warez) on DH?

We have an MSDN subscription at work, and I am testing Vista x64.
The included drivers seem to have some issue with dropping "framerates" in Windows (not gaming) randomly on my PC.
Just installed yesterday, so have not tested much yet.

I am also an official vista tester, using x86 atm on 2 machines. Also planning on installing x64 on my main machine. Maybe someone can point me to why the radeon 9200 series isn't included in the beta 1 drivers from Ati? I searched but maybe I missed it.

I am currently testing Windows Vista right now. Incase you are curious about what it looks like on a Radeon x800 here's a screenshot. Sorry for the corny slogan, I couldn't think of anything funny to put so that's all my brain would allow at the moment.

you are not allowed to take screenshots of it if you a VISTA tester. as of right now you have officially violated the NDA! GJ

Evidently you aren't a beta tester or don't pay attention. There is no NDA at this time in the beta. Don't believe me search the EULA of Vista for confidentiality agreements. It's also posted in the announcements newsgroup for the beta program.

There is currently no NDA attached to Windows Vista and MSFT have given the technical testers permission to post media related to Vista Beta-1. Before you go ranting that someone has violated an NDA, you might want to do some research next time, check my friend Google out, he'll help you.

Let's get somethig straight here. Windows Vista BETA 1 is not an open beta. That means that you have to be invited/accepted by MS in order to test it legaly. So with that in mind, anyone else that is caught asking for warez or providing links to warez software will be banned for mthe forum. COnsider this as your fisrt and last warning.

Im not using it as a main but I do have a dual boot setup with XP right now with the 5219 build.

so far its ok but not great since it seems that media center just does nothing but flash and not work properly.

you pretty much have to be invited by MS or pay for a techbeta/MSDN subscription, which is expensive.

The recommendation I always give out is start smaller.

send a mail to msbinfo@microsoft.com and let them know you are interested in being a tester.

You may not get anything, but then again you may. You won't start out as a windows tester initially. It takes time to build up to being a windows tester. I've been testing for around 10 years now so give it some time and do any beta that you get offered as long as you really care about testing and have the time and hardware to do it right.
