Which Atheros wireless card do you have?

Not all Atheros cards are supported by Vista Beta 1, and sometimes you may need to install them manually. The biggest problem, and this is one that is being echoed on numerous sites, is that a number of people can't seem to get their drivers working, and the issue is futher enhanced by Atheros not supplying generic drivers. They rely on the manufacturers that use their chips to supply drivers.

I had a similar problem with my USR Wireless card but without the exact card model number it's hard to help. This page may be useful to you

Download the XP driver for your card and try that. If it doesn't install or the installer behaves erractically then set the installer to use XP compatability mode and set it to run as Admin. This solved the problems when installing my USR drivers. If they dont come packaged in an .exe then update the driver in the Hardware Device Manager as you would in XP.
