Internet Explorer 7 Beta2

State your opinion of the new Internet Explorer.

(Besides how much it resembles FireFox.

)

I like it. I still dont understand why ClearType is on by default (switch it off guys) and what the benefits are simple cause I cannot see it but being worse.
as for IE7 for itself... very good. Better then Opera and Firefox in some ways. Shame it has not extensions

I used the Beta 7 Preview for a few days. It does look nice and I believe MS is heading in the right direction with this.

However, there were enough 'issues' that I've since reverted back to IE 6 updated.

The 'major' issue with IE 7 was that my Virus protection couldn't Update properly. That was the main concern that prompted me to roll back.

I am used to Firefox's engine now, and I don't think I'll switch. The new Zoom feature though (it's there in Vista, not sure about Winxp versions) is way cool and works great with great quality.

IE 7 has a Zoom feature, too. The setting is located in the lower right corner of the screen.

It's better, but nothing to write home about. I've found I can't function without the Opera sidebar (especially with my mod duties here at DH). It will take some work to get me away from Opera. IE still is much slower than Opera and FF, which I can't stand, especially at home on 56k.
