Can it be done?
I'm actually looking for a way to run Carracho or at the very least a similar program ported to Windows/Linux. Any help/ideas/ramblings appreciated.

Yep, its possible as far as I can tell - Mac OSX is linux, so you should be able to run Mac OSX programs on linus, shouldn't you? I know next to nothing about this, so I could be terribly and utterly wrong
Don't take my word for it, that that is what my guess is...

Mac OSX is a GUI running on Darwin. Darwin is an opensource *BSD kernel that Apple forked from one of the *BSD projects. The binaries will not work on any Linux, but the source stands a good chance of compiling so you can run the resulting binary

From what I've read on the site, the server application stands a good chance of working on Linux as it stands, but the Client application won't - it's gonna need a full X port.

Here is something interesting...
A while back I read something about Mac going to x86. If this happens it might make it more possible for people to run OSX (I dont know why you would want to do this) on any x86 system... Might require some tweaks, but, it might be possible... All of this is speculation however. |

Apple are predominately a hardware seller - they would lose out in the PC clone wars big style. OSX is the "tempter" to get people to move onto Macs. I've used OSX and it's very nice to use
