Are you sure you want to delete 'WINDOWS'?

This is UBER BAD! My recycle bin looked full so i right clicked and clicked empty and this popped up. I checked the recycle bin and made sure hidden files and folders were visible, but it shows emptiness. I haven't been doing any messing around or anything. For the past couple of days my computer has been getting gradually worse. I have Avast! with resident protection and an updated virus database. I did a standard scan also. The ONLY things I have been doing are downloading several bittorrents and playing games such as Empire Earth and Modeling in 3DS Max8. Before things became this bad, i posted in this forum about the problems I started off having:

Please Please Please help! I have a version of Windows that came on my computer and cannot reinstall! Here are my specs:

ok, i restarted and now my recycle bin appears to be 'truly' empty, cause it wont let me click empty recycle bin anymore. But im still pulling my hair out over this.

if a system reboot makes the problem go away then i'd not worry about that,
but if it occurs again try creating any files or a new folder then move this file to the bin when it's closed and then R-cleck on its icon and select empty it. this may help restore proper function of the recycle bin. if not, and system reboot won't help either, try running error-checking on all drives/partitions.

anyway, scan your computer for virus and virus-like again. and make sure the Windows is updated.

note-- before running the drives/partitions error-checking backup your important files.
