Help! Keep getting same windows update...
I think it's once a day. Suddnely, windows update icon pops up and when I click it an alert message shows up saying "This setup will only upgrade over an existing version of the Microsoft VM". I click OK and it installs the update and prompts me to restart. Then I restart the computer. It's been doing the same update routine for the last week everyday. What's going on here? Could anyone help with this please.
I did a fresh install of the Windows XP recently. The thing is I have been trying to disable/uncheck some seemingly unnecessary programs in the startup program list(the one you access by running 'msconfig' command). Could this be the cause? Do you think I might disabled a wrong startup program? I have no idea which one could it be... or something else is culprit....? Thanks for help in advance. |

in msconfig after unchecking stuff, they usually dont dissappear/get deleted so you can reenable...
