Thank you your reply.
I tried 'msconfig' and found the path that opens the window in start-up list. However, I could not get rid of it. If I do that and reboot, XP is asking me to undo the change then it happens again. This thing started when I attempted to reinstall XP over the current system a few weeks ago. I could not complete the reinstall process because XP gave me blue screen of error message about my boot disk being corrupted which I am pretty sure it is not. Also, after reinstall attempt, it stops during boot-up and asks me to choose between WinXP Pro and WinXP pro Setup. If I choose setup it will give me the blue screen forcing me to reset the machine.(Damn!) Somebody help me please. Thanks. |

My friend's laptop opens the MSN directory and another folder everytime, tried everything and they won't bugger off. I've had it do it on w98 before but it's stopped after a while, but on his XP lappy it's been doing it for ages now.

Does anyone have any clue about this?
I'm gonna try the 'repair' installation now. I'll post back afterwards. |
