Yea, it's just XP, but with a media center theme and application, I'm running it too, I use it with my xbox 360, don't use the MC much tho

Thanks for clearing that up for me - that's a big concern on my part for any user, and I'm sorry for referencing such old and inaccurate data.

well you didnt reference it, we did, so blame us - I dont think Microsoft are insane enough to market any current OS with only Fat32 support, that would be commercial suicide, the file system is dire. NTFS is a good enough file system although I think HFS+ on the mac is more secure.

Oh....I've been at work all day, so, I've missed a bunch of updates on this thread.

I might add to all of this that my son does use his XBOX 360 for Live! content and both he and my daughter-in-law use MAC laptops from time to time on the network's wireless router connection.

AND, yes, swimtech, my own computers -- both Pro and Home -- use NTFS.

AND....I even have a 'play-around-with-Windows 98SE' machine accessing the network, too. I use that one for testing different things from time to time. Most of the time, it's not even on anymore.

Its a full OS yes, and I love it. ive it hooked up to a 37 inch LCD HDTV via a laptop. I use a pocket pc with special downloadable software to control the media center edition remotely from my chair. It has many uses and I dont think most people know half of it to be honest.

Check this link out for some info http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/m...s/default.mspx
