if the Windows TCP/IP has been configured to obtain DNS server addresses from a DHCP server, then i have a question, have you tried to manually configure and to enter DNS servers addresses?

PangingJR, for some reason I think this issue has nothing to do with TCP/IP configuration and DNS servers. One palce to where the problem might bee is files lmhost.sam and hosts... Or some program (malware or not) might bee blocking them.

I think temeteus has hit the nail on the head here, sound slike something malicious is blocking your access to any site that may be able to remove it, is your antivirus still working or has it stopped as well?

I would try to get my hands on a spyware prog like spybot search & destroy (just google it) from a site that probably isn't blocked (softpedia, majorgeeks, tucows) and see if that helps at all. If it doesn't then come back to us

Thanks for the help in advance guys..Not too sure what you mean by "DNS address from DHCP server"I have also noticed that "some" of the adds on Myspace don't load and have the same "Page not found" error but some work fine. I double checked to see if anything was working in the background like a firewall or antivirus and found nothing,.I will note I just got done running a few programs because the computer was HIGHLY infected with trojans and viruses. Here is a list of programs I ranHaxFix - CWShredder - KillBox - HighjackThis - CCleaner - NoAdware - SymantecAntivirus (corp Edition). I did all this in safe mode etc and did have to manually delete some registry keys (which I was very careful with)The computer now starts up with no problems and no more viruses present (according to all 7 virus checkers).

How to configure TCP/IP to use DNS in Windows XP, see the section How to configure TCP/IP - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/305553

===========

also, in the Start/Run... type in this line "%systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc" and Enter,
then open the file named "Hosts" with notepad, and then use your mouse to highlight all of the lines that exists in the document...
and then copy/paste them here.

if you get an error when you try to open the Hosts file, then make sure that the file is not protected (locked) by any of the antivirus/antispyware programs that you mentioned earlier, or by other that has not been mentioned.
