Weird File Permissions
So after installing SP1 I had a folder on my D: drive (an NFTS partition from the main drive) named: 4780b5b9abf616b97f
I can't open it, I can't delete it, I can't change the permissions of it, total access denied. I've been logged in as administrator, I've been in safe mode, can't access it in CMD (haven't tried true dos because I don't have a floppy and don't know any other way to boot into it). A week ago, I moved an important folder into there and now I can't get it out. I've tried copying it to other places but that doesn't work either. Any help? |

If you right click on it, does it give the same options as the Recycle Bin?

Try logging in as administrator and taking ownership of the directory

What do you mean by "can't access it in CMD"? Have you tried safe mode with CMD mode? If all fails you could make it hidden and forget about it
It's lame, but I have a folder I can't delete, either. The only way I can do it is to to boot from another HDD as I can't use a boot disk (NTFS filesystem). But it doesn't bother me now that I set the hidden attrib on it
