I.E. problem
ive got this little problem with internet explorer... on some sites, www.gamespot.com specifically i have this problem where i cannot see the images and sizes of fonts are messed. I don't know what setting is causing this, but wut happened was my comp suddenly stopped and I some how lost my user profile, i think the power cable to my primary HD was loose, but i reset my user settings and didnt touch my I.E. settings. I got rid of the problem but then restored my old settings back cause I lost my favorites, anyone know how to get all images to display or whats causing this? i reset my internet setttings AND set security to really really low. running windows xp pro sp1.

Sometimes, for no reason at all, my fonts get changed from medium to smaller or smallest and I go to view>text size to adjust that. I don't know about images though. I would suggest resetting internet options to defaults relating to pics, turn off image resizing, and update IE using Windows Update

can you take a screen shot of what you mean? it's not IE's automatic image resize option on the advanced tab is it? that's why i want a shot?

The images are showing red X's because they can't be loaded, it may be a cache problem, as they load on mine, have you tried right clicking and choose show picture? As for the small fonts choose Text Size from the View menu and select medium, or hold ctrl and scroll the wheel on your mouse.

That CTRL+mouse wheel may be what causes my text size to change. I might have pressed that by accident a few times. Something you may want to try is maybe your HOSTS file is misconfigured. It's located at:
Windows 95/98/Me c:\windows\hosts Windows NT/2000/XP Pro c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts Windows XP Home c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts Make sure it says 127.0.0.1 localhost and nothing else. |

ive even tried that, its a problem in the I.E. settings, im positive. cause when i did lose my user settings then the problem went away. but i had a back up of my user settings, when i restored THEN the problem returned. It's really fucking gay, i'd kick it in the ass like Saddam Hussein
