hmm, that's weird. if that ever happened to me i guess i would just format the hard drive and re-installl Windows if a restore system from a full system backup is not available.

System Specs

Check this out: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

I had problems with .Net 1.1, and used this to get rid of it. Ran this and then just deleted the .Net folder.

I've used it on other programs that I had trouble uninstalling, and it worked like a charm.

Note that it works for just about every version of Windows that exists.

i think the IE7 was not installed using Windows Installer, the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility won't be able to do any thing with it.

try running the Windows Service Pack Uninstall (spuninst.exe) directly from Start/Run... "C:\WINDOWS\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe"

there are 2 registry settings under IE7, NoModify/NoRepair, which i have never checked into them yet, and they may have nothing to do with your problems.
anyway, i will post more info if something come across.
