I've started to use Trillian and want to get rid of MSM messenger if possible. I have uninstalled it through the add and remove control panel, turn it off through the 'Set program Access and Defaults' and have unchecked Outlook to sign in whenever I check for email, but the freakin thing wont go away. Any ideas, I'm really sick of looking at it.
Thx alot |

This tweak will remove Messenger completely w/o editing the sysoc.inf file:
1. Start > Run 2. Type 'RUNDLL32 ADVPACK.DLL,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\MSMSGS.INF,BLC.Remove' w/o the quotes. Now that should remove all the contents of MSN Messenger. Make sure you delete the 'Messenger' folder in the Program Files section. |
