WinME trouble
A friend of mine was trying to setup a proggy that needs an environment variable set, under WinME. It appears that it cannot be done... adding a "set variable=value" in autoexec doesn't work. Doing the same with msconfig doesn't work either.
The line appears in both autoexec and msconfig (environment tab, and it's checked), but the variable is never set, the "set" command (under MSDOS prompt) doesn't show it. And, of course, the man's proggy doesn't work. Anybody seen something like this, is there any solution? Any help would be much apreciated! Thanks

Thanks, tried that.
The guy worked it out... He edited autoexec, restarted in safe mode, then restarted normal, and it worked. Strange, huh? I believe it's because of some "tweaks", although he sais it isn't.
