PC won't wake up from Stand by

In the past my computer has found several ways to bug the crap out of me. I've made it through each one and it has been running very well, especially with Omega's newest drivers which let my Sapphire X850XT finally play Oblivion on high settings with 2xAA and still get playable frame rates. However, ever since I got the new Omega drivers whenever I put my pc in stand by mode it does everything it should but when I go to "wake it up" the cpu fan kicks into high gear but doesn't settle down and my screen remains blank. I've changed quite a few settings in ATT and I've yet to find any problem there, but it still does the same thing.
Thanks for any advice.

Wish I could help, but, I've had too many of my own problems with standby modes over the years so I don't use that feature anymore. I figure if I wanted things to 'shutdown' I'd just shut it down.

If you revert to the previous drivers you were using, does the problem get solved?

I haven't tried reverting to older drivers yet, but I'd really rather find an alternative, because the current drivers seem to give me alot more out of my gfx card than before.

try going into your power options in your control panel, set turn off hard disks to never.
see if that helps your issue...

It's already set for that.

Ignore this post, accidently double-posted.
