Low Disk space error
So i have about 20Mb left of free disk space on my C:\ drive. Because of that, i keep getting the "low disk space" baloon pop up every few minutes or so. I know that the obvious way to remove that error message is by simply removing stuff off of the drive. However, i can't right now because of school.
my question is. How do i get the error message to stop popping up every few minutes? It doesn't have to be repeating itself to me so frequently to something i already know about. It's becoming quite annoying. |

i think it's a warning dialog, not an error dialog.
it probably continues to remind you in the warning dialog until you acknowledge the reminder by providing more free disk space on the drive... or i guess at least by disabling low disk space checks for all drives all together in your registry. Quote:

20 MB? Man, you are really living on the edge.
![]() How about running CCleaner to clean up all the temp files/folders and junk first of all? maybe will give you a few more MBs of space. Just don't download it if you haven't already got it.

k this works but as usual at your own risk
![]() Open regedit & follow the steps below: 1. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer 2. On the Edit menu, click New, click DWORD value . 3. Name the new DWORD Value as NoLowDiskSpaceChecks 4. Right click the new DWORD Value and Modify the data value to 1. 5. Exit the registry editor and restart your computer. if you already have the DWORD Value - NoLowDiskSpaceChecks just change it to 1 |
