Pissed is there a way to recover kazaa downloads after BSOD?

^Subject
My damn computer blue screened while I had some big downloads going in Kazaa Lite K++ 2.1.0 build 2 Final. I copied the shared folder's downloadxxxxx.dat files (which is 6 files for 1.3 gb) and when I check them with Kdat.exe, only three of them show up, which were the three I had paused. I almost threw the keyboard at the moniter when it blue screened.... I have win2000 pro, the error was 0x00000075 or something like that.
I sincerely hope there's a way to make these files work so I don't have to wait another day for the download.....

Crash Override is an unknown quantity at this point

One thing is try upgrading to XP

Since SP1 it is more stable than even 2K

and as far as your downloads.....there are times i have been able to get some to start downloading again and sometimes they just get corrupted too far.

One thing I recommend is using Google to check and see if anyone has successfully recovered .dat files

Hmm, I guess I should give a little specs:

Win2000 Pro with SP3 and nearly all critical updates.
Athlon 1400mhz (thunderbird)
512 meg ram
McAfee Virus Scan Pro (it was off at the time)
ZoneAlarm Pro 3.7.098 (was on)

I was planning on doing a reinstall of Windows over the weekend. I think I'll go back to XP just to see if there was really a difference as I had XP to begin with and then switched over to 2K after that install got just as crashy as it is now.... I'm telling you, I'm cursed with a cycle of about 2-3months before it just gets really bad....

edit: oh, the dat files in question are the ones kazaa makes while you download. I was getting a couple isos, and nearly done too....
edit2: google is not turning up anything on this subject..... any other suggestions?

what you have to do is find the same exact file in kazaa again. then, start the download and find out which new dat file it creates. then, exit kazaa and replace the new file with the old one.

Hmm, I'll try to remember that the next time that happens. Actually I was able to find about the same thing I was looking for and was able to completely download it. Only problem is that the thing was two cds, and I think what I downloaded were two different language cds, yet it installed... I say this because it would never start and the update program couldn't tell what language it was...
Oh well.... Back to the downloading frenzy. I just wish it was easier to tell what the file really is.... they downloaded as ISO's but I couldn't open them with WinRAR (it has support for .iso), yet IsoBuster opened them no problem.... screwy, screwy, screwy.....

McAfee Virus Scan Pro.. came with a firewall , did you install it?
