Removing common tasks window from desktopqqqqqqq

hi

I installed winamp3 and do to this the common tasks window appears on the deskotp

I have tried a lot removing it

can someone tell me what to do abt this

I cant even move the icons on the desktop

Browse to the desktop folder in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Desktop and should be able to remove it from there

the folder contains only icons

i can add,view,delete icons here

how do i remove the common tasks window from the desktop

can u explain it to me in little detail

Only other thing I can think of is that you've added something to the "Active Desktop".

You can check this by going to Display Properties->Desktop->Customize Desktop->Web

Mine has everthing unticked

yes it helps, no it didt help or hey i fixed it and the problems was...! and yes i'd like to know how's it?! have you find a fix for that?
