w2k3 server and radeon 9700

hi all

do the catalyst 3.2 (or soon 3.3) drivers work with w2k3 server?
and do i need to enable/change something special on this operating system, so that the games will work?

HI Pato

Yes the cat 3.2's can be used with server 2003, you will get an unsigned driver message but just click continue.

When you have installed them go into the driver control panel and into the advanced section where you can change all the ATI settings...make sure on the troubleshoot tab that the slider is all the way to the right.

You will also need to install Directx9 as far as im aware.

windows update to DX9.....

yes, you will need to turn on all acceleration in windows 2003 also.

go to start.run. then type DXDIAG. go into displays and enable directdraw, then Direct3d and AGP texture acceleration.

ive been reading some users have problems getting AGP acceleration to work in windows 2003 server, but I havent had that issue myself.

I was unable to make it all enabled until I enabled HW acceleration in Display Properties inside of Control Panel.
