Downgrading on a Viao VGN-NR110E

I recently downgraded from Vista to XP on my Vaio VGN-NR110E.

All is going well, except I can't seem to find drivers for the built-in wireless. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

HARDWARE ID : PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_001C&SUBSYS_E000105B&REV_01

Matching Device ID : pci\ven_168c&dev_001c

Hey there, that book uses an Atheros 54G 802.11b/g WLAN

Try this ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp27501-28000/sp27952.exe

If that doesnt work try looking for the Atheros AR5006EG Wifi driver on google.

Thanks for the quick responce, unfortunately, neither of those worked. I'm fairly sure whatever driver/device the switch is part of, isn't functioning, and that's causing the wireless card not to get power. (note: the switch I'm referring to is a wireless lan switch on the front (user-side) of the laptop. Without that being powered, I'm unsure as to whether or not the card is recieving power.)

Is there an option in BIOS to turn on the WIFI?

To anyone looking for specific Atheros drivers, take a look at THIS site. Either pick the one you need, and it will take you to the downloads page, or pick any of one of them, which will take you to the download page, and then search for the one you need (as they're all on the same page).

Since you have an Atheros AR5xxx series, give THIS driver a shot. It's not from the same site, but it is the driver you need.
