win xp doesn't start any more

When i turn my computer on and start windows in normal mode it just resets.
When i try to start it in safe mode it starts to load drivers but stops on agp440.sys. then it waits some time and resets too.
What should i do?

Maybe the agp440.sys file has become corrupted. Try doing a system restore by booting off the XP CD

i already tryed but when i went to recovery console it said i have a registry error and shut down

BTW. Have you done anything recently, such as fitting new hardware etc, or did this fault just appear on its own ?

I have tryed this but it didn't work: when i opened recovery console and chose the installation it said registry error

when i was booting my computer power switched off. after that the fault appeared

try a repair when the first repair option comes up continue with install until it finds previos installation of windows and asks if you would like to repair choose yes,you will need to reinstall video sound drivers and any updates you have previously installed

dont use recovery console

use repair install
