Windows Media Player: Cannot Connect To Server
Hello again...
Some good friends of mine are having trouble streaming songs from my website. I know the problem does not stem from my end...because everyone else I know has no trouble at all w/ my music files. They simply go to my site, click on a song link; & the song streams & plays perfectly. Anyway...when they attempt to do the same...the message my friends are getting on their PC reads: >>Windows Media Player cannot connect to the server. The server name may not be correct, the server may not be available, or your proxy settings might not be correct.<< Since I've ruled out the first two fixes, I followed the instructions in the WMP help files on fixing the proxy settings...(which is essentially to set those settings to 'Autodetect')...but that doesn't work either. Anyone have any ideas, here? Thanks, mark4man |

Windows firewall might be blocking the connection.
