want to install xp for dual boot but sata/raid probs

i have a asus p5e3 mb. vist64 is installed. want to setup dual boot with xp pro sp2 so i can play gw. when i try to install xp i get the blu screen saying i need to scan disk/etc.
finaly got it so it sees my ready boost drive, someting but no help lol.
anyway the hd partition i want to install it on is a non raid hd, vista is on raid, so raid is enabled in bios. do i need to install raid drivers at f6 prompt.? & since all drives are sata do i need to install sata drivers at f6 prompt?
if so, how do i do this with no friggin floppy drive.

pain in the ass but got it done. but it didnt solve problem, so wasted effort. anyway thx for help. lol.
