XP PRO Error msg
When I boot up my laptop I got a ntldr error msg, press ctrl alt del. has anyone seen this and know how to fix it. Thanks

I means that some one has deleted ntldr file from the root folder of the boot drive. That can be fixed by booting from windows's CD and launching the recovery console. Then select the correct windows installation. Then you should get command prompt. Type fixboot [bootdrive] and pres enter now the fixboot utility should fix the boot drive. After it's done type exit and pres enter and the computer reboots.

I tried to boot with boot disk,i never could get to the repair part.as far as i got was to the press any key to continue. when i pressed the enter key it like the computer stopped,drive quit turning and the fans stopped

That sounds like you have some other major issues with your PC, most likely overheating. It should not do that when booting from cd...
