Autochk.exe not found at startup

I get this message during start-up. What might have caused this to start happening and how may I go about fixing it?

\Systemroot\windows\sytem32\autochk.exe program not found - skipping AUTOCHECK

Thanks

Re: Autochk.exe not found at startup

the file is either corrupted or has been removed ... OR disabled in some fashion...... it would be advised that your run a check disk (thorough scan) as well as virus/spyware scan as well.

Re: Autochk.exe not found at startup

I run virus and spyware scan constantly and never find anything. So I don't think that is an issue.

I did schedule a disk scan and restarted. It went through the process on both drives. After restarting, I did not get the message. So, I think that may have fixed the error?
