lost my XP CD
I got rid of an old pc which had XP Home Edition on it. I cleaned the disks with Drivescrubber. I still have the sticker with the product key on it, but I think I lost the CD (I can't remember if I even had a CD in the first place). Anyway, is there anything I can do to install XP on another machine with the same product key without needing a CD? Or is it impossible?

Re: lost my XP CD
AFAIK it doesn't matter what XP CD you use its having a valid key that matters. Any XP Home Edition CD will do.

Re: lost my XP CD
just make sure it's the same type as what your license states..
you cannot use XP Home Retail with a XP Home OEM license you cannot use XP Pro OEM with a XP Home OEM License etc.

Re: lost my XP CD
They're both OEM I think. Anyway it's not that I need to install it any time soon.
