1680x1050 BenQ G2000W Desktop outside monitor proportions
Hi,
at last my first post after some activation issues. First say hello to everybody ![]() Ok, my problem is: I hope you can help me with this. After posting a lot in several forum and (de)install several drivers, my problem still not solved. I visited my PC Shop for instruction but they couldn’t help me. I should call BenQ, so I did. Was a waste of money. ================================================== ====== PC Wizard 2008 Version 1.871 Owner: Martin van der Varst Organization: MSI User: Martin Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.01.2600 Service Pack 3 Report Date: Sunday 03 01 2009 at 22:06 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ <<< System Summary >>> > Mainboard : MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO.,LTD MS-7388 > Chipset : AMD RD780 > Processor : AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ @ 2600 MHz > Physical Memory : 4096 MB (2 x 2048 DDR2-SDRAM ) > Video Card : Radeon HD 3850 (Omega 3.8.442) (Using this at this moment: ati_omega_xp2k_48442-[Guru3D.com].exe) > Hard Disk : MAXTOR (160 GB) > Hard Disk : ST3160815AS (160 GB) > DVD-Rom Drive : TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223F > Monitor : BenQ G2200W(analog) > Network Card : Realtek Semiconductor RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC > Operating System : Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.01.2600 Service Pack 3 > DirectX : Version 9.0c (July 2008) ================================================== ====== Problem: Like the title say, 1280x800 (1.6) Works fine 1360x850 (1.6) Works fine 1440x900 (1.6) Works fine 1680x1050 (1.6) PROBLEEM is: no auto adjust anymore. Seems like Windows not recognize this resolution, the virtual screen is too big for the desktop. Need go with my mouse outside the monitor to see the rest of the screen. Using the mouse let the screen move. Using a none 1.6 resolution I get vertical stripes, Saw it after change my desktop background into none with balck background. I also had that problem before after connect my Widescreen TV. Wasn’t in the mood for problem solving that moment, was just an experiment. This is a problem and try to solve it from Friday by now. No one has an answer. Another strange issue is: I make always Ghost images from systems. After reboot with another Ghost image (working Windows) this problem still here. Can it be that the Monitor has a malfunction or is a driver problem? I hope you can help me with this. Greetings, Martin *** P.s. This a copy of an email i send to 'omega@omegadrivers.net' before my account got activated. 1.6 stands for 16:10 |

Problem solved - Topic can be closed
After all kinds of changes, i changed the VGA Cable. Data transfer inadequate, cable is 5 meter. I took the original 1.8m cable and screen looked ok. So i need to buy a better VGA Cable
