Can i get to sys restore from "run"

I am working on an XP system that won't complete the boot process in regular or safe mode. I can open task mgr and also get to the run command, but don't know how to access system restore. The desktop will not load and device mgr shows no problems. Thanks

You could use ERD Commander which seems to have been reborn as microsoft diagnostics and recovery tool set. I have used ERD commander many times for password reset and system restores. It can also do a lot more because it is a striped down live xp OS on a cd.

Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset

Give it a try.

Re: Can i get to sys restore from "run"

why don't you type in "explorer" under 'new task' in the task manager (with out the quotes,, your desktop should load with that)..... and a general question, why do you want to open system restore!,
