Excel/ Send Error Report

Friends, I depend on Excel on my work....but suddenly each time I open MS Excel 2007, I receive the message of Send error report, whatever I choose Send or Don?t Send...it appears again

Yesterday, I uninstalled it completely and installed but the same issue

I think it doesn't related to the files itself as even when I open Excel from program files then create new (Ctrl+N) I receive this error message:
-------
Error Signature
AppName: excel.exe
AppVer: 12.0.4518.1014
AppStamp: 45428263
ModName: msvcrt.dll
ModVer: 7.0.2600.5512
ModStamp: 4802a188
fDebug: 0
Offset: 00037efb
-------
Please help

Re: Excel/ Send Error Report

First thing I would is look in Event Viewer to see if there are any errors listed. This is under Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Event Viewer, and the sections to pay attention to are Applications and System. Post any errors you see that Office related, or anything reported at the time that you had Excel crash. BTW, do any of the other Office programs crash, such as Word?

Also, even though you already did this before, try uinstalling Office again, but also follow the article HERE. Even though the article discusses how to remove Office if the Add/Remove Programs doesn't work, it also discusses locations of files and folders to delete, something which Add/Remove Programs doesn't normally do anyways. So, use Add/Remove Programs (or Programs and Features if it's Vista/Windows 7) to remove Office, then do the suggestions for cleaning out file and registry locations. Also, look for other "Office" based listings in Add/Remove Programs (Programs and Features), like Business Contact Manager, or other updates related to it. Once you remove them, reboot the system (important), and try installing Office again.

looks like the msvcrt.dll file is causing the problem. this usually happens if another application has overwritten the file with an older or a newer version. try replacing the file with another version, but don't overwrite the orginal, you still might need it if the problem is not the verion of the file. simply change the name of the orginal file from "msvcrt.dll" to, let's say "msvcrt.dll__", then paste another version of the same file in the same folder. here are two links from which you can download the file, don't know which versions they are, but it's worth a shot...

DLL-files.com - msvcrt.dll, free download

MSVCRT.DLL download - free dll files

PS: they are probably older verisons of the same file...

NOTE: even if this procedure does work on Excel, changing the verison of the original file MAY CAUSE OTHER PROGRAMS NOT TO WORK PROPERLY OR NOT WORK AT ALL !!! do at your own risc.
