Redstone is on a distinguished road

Well digitalwanderer, a found farewell...for now

I am finally officially lying to rest Win98
I hate to admit it but I finally succumbed to the upgrade vice and did a clean install of WinXP Home last weekend (Already wish it was Pro).
I had good old Win98 fine tuned to run like clockwork, but needed a new challenge.

So far, XP is stable, but it's quickly getting obvious there will soon be a need to cut the excess fat running in the background. Getting it to be streamlined like I had 98 will be the fun part.

However, the door has been left open. I am not going as far as a dual boot system yet… but there is an empty 15gig hard disk sitting on my bookshelf, that making me feel guilty every time I walk by.

Anyway, see you all over in the XP forum, if the bug gets you too.

I think ats allways best to run duel boot systems if you use your comp for games and other stuff.
I normally use a tweaked 98lite cutdown os for gaming and use XP for music making and web/Burning etc.
98 is the darkside, there is no escape.

Took you long enough But really, I think that was one of the best moves, I really hate Win98. But you can go through http://www.tweakxp.com/ and turn WinXP into an even better OS. Good luck
