What is this "ccApp"?

For the last 2-3 weeks I have noticed some occasional random errors in programs hanging when I try to start them, having to do the End Now option. This momentarily will clear my desktop of all Icons/shortcuts etc., but a second or two later they all come back and everything works ok.

Two days ago, whenever I go to log-off, I notice a small grey box that says

CCApp

and it looks like the End Now box, and it has the little bar moving as it's shutting down so I can log-off.

WTF is this crap?

I have scanned my computer for viruses using Norton 2003-2004 and also the online scanner
by PC-Illin. NO VIRUSES REPORTED. All my virus definitions are up to date for my Norton.

I also use Zone Alarm Pro, and love it.

I also have scanned my system with the lastest updates with Spybot and Ad-Aware.
NOTHING.

What is this "CCApp"? Closing Application? If so, why is it just starting to happen now?

In other words........WTF?

I have Windows XP Home and all the latest SP1 and updates.

i have the same on occasion over the last week or two,but not too often. it's usually been when coming to shutdown pc when it appears.

i believed CCApp is part of NAV products... Open Run box and type in msconfig.. you should see the CCApp listed in the Startup tab. See if you have it in there..

Panging is correct. it is a part of NAV.

it is for me.don't bother me much as it only happens around once a week.but shuts-down perfectly once pressed end program.

okay then,
i dont use NAV anymore but i suggest you dont try to stop any NAV startup items (both run registry key and/or services).. can be more prob if you do that.

I was like wtf? I don't need anymore of those...

You're welcome. i feel sad

i was not help you anything yet. anyway, try turning off the ZAP manually just before you shutdown may help. or otherwz a few registry tweaks should fix that prob.
