Installing an older version of the nforce2 drivers usually solves this. been awhile since i used an nforce2 board, but i think it was the 3.45 nforce2 drivers. And if your using the latest Cat's you will need .net update installed on your machine.

If you run the install package it will extract all the drivers to a directory. then hit cancel when it gets to the actual install point of the package. You can then go into your device manager tab in control panel/system and proceed to manually update the AGP driver that way.

did you use drivercleaner and remove all nforce2 drivers and video drivers for the ati card?

Did it boot up in windows before you installed Catalyst drivers?

ok, if you uninstall the catalysts, and reboot does it boot back into windows? If it does, reinstall Catalyst Drivers (maybe try the Unian/Omega's) and upon installation turn off Fast Writes, and drop it down to AGP 4x and see if it lets you boot up in windows again. It's definetly driver related (graphics driver) had that problem with an Geforce 3 and the 40x series of drivers. Let me know what happens. If this doesn't work you could try reformatting again, i know it sounds stupid but sometimes for some stupid reason an install doesnt go right

tested the card in another machine works great....i then took an old nvidia TNT2 and intsalled in my machince and both the chipset and the videocard driver installed fine...bootup worked fine and i checked to see and it was running agp 4x with fast writes....so im assuming its and 8x agp problem....

that is a weird problem.......I am just wondering......did you install Dx9.0b before you installed the Vid drivers? And did you install SP1 before the chipset drivers?
