Windows Scripts for Networking

I am working on a little project and I am wondering if anyone on here knowns anything about scripts. I hope I am asking for the right thing here. See, we have this network and sometimes people forget to log off the machines and therfore it locks the computer up and only an admin. or that user can unlock it (or u can just shut it down). Anyways, I want to make a script or something that knows if the user is idle for more then 2.5 hours and then automatically log them off. Is this possible with using scripts? Thanks

If I remember correctly that is not only possible through scripst but I think log on policy too but don't quote me on that... memory is starting to fail me.

for Windows 2000/XP machines..

Use the "WinExit" screen saver (Winexit.scr), it's in the Win 2000 Pro Resource Kit CD.

HOW TO: Force Users to Quit Programs and Log Off After a Period of Inactivity in Windows XP.

How can I use the WinExit screen saver without granting Admin rights?

if you don't have the Win 2000 Pro Resource Kit you can also use the files from the Win Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools, you can D/L it here - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en
