raid 1 win2003

Hi i was wondering if you can setup raid 1 in software mode in windows2003 server just like you can in win xp? Is that possible to be done? Thanks

Ok come on can anyone give me a clue hwere ot look in win2003 to setup raid 0 with software?

Yes you can and you should find it in the same place as in windows XP it should be under Control Panel-->Administrator Tools--> Computer Management and then under storage you should be able to set up raid 1, 0 or 5 all you need to do is set it up using the wizard.


note: The disks must be dynamic and unallocated.

I am though looking in the storage part and i click the drive and i dont see anywhere to change raid. i can convert to a dyanmic disk and there is not much more in the sotrage disk management i can do.

First you have to convert to dynamic then you have to create a new volume and it will give you the option to set it up with striped, mirrored, or raid-5....

Thanks i needed to create a partition on each drive then i was able to mirror it. Thanks again for oyur help.
