registry setting for default browser?
I've never had this problem b4 but since re-installing Outlook especially want to open links in IE, can I change that somewhere? Maybe a registry setting to tell everrything to use opera?

Try switching the default browser away, and back to Opera.

i try switching default browser between IE and Opera several time i still get Opera to open a link in Outlook,
try switching to IE again by applying both "Reset Web settings" and answer Yes, to the "Internet Explorer is not currently your default browser" then change back to Opera by doing this.. Open the Opera's Preferences dialog (Alt+P) -> Default application, then uncheck in the front of all 'File types handled by Opera' and 'Protocols handled by Opera', and check in front of "Check if Opera is default browser on startup" restart Opera. answer Yes when you see the dialog "Use Opera as default Web browser". in the Default application you should now have... HTML documents, http, https then go to File Types in Folder Options, to check and edit action for type: HTM and HTML (HTML Documents), as follow.. action: open app used to perform action: "C:\Program Files\Opera75\opera.exe" "%1" use DDE: check DDE message: "%1" application : opera DDE application not running: don't type anything. topic: WWW_OpenURL then start Outlook and try clicking on a link to see if this'll open with Opera. |

Heh, that's what I meant, but with instructions like that, it's not surprising you're a gold member.

"Reset Web Settings" is on Program tab of the Internet Options,
then check in front of "Internet Explorer should check...", if you change default browser again, it should ask you on next open IE.. |
