Definitely IE6.0

I definitely like IE6.0 the most, especially along with WinXP Professional. MS has made quite a lot of changes to their browser and have improved the network connectivity performance. We've heard people & companies complain about MS being a monopoly, and that they shouldn't integrate Internet Explore into the OS.
However, as technology advances I don't think that 3rd party browsers are going to perform as well as proprietery browsers; esp. since the internet, networking, and web applications are such a major & integral part of the OS.

Moved. MS windows isn't the only OS out there. Also, Mozilla is a very capable browser and renders most sites correctly. It also features some stuff I just can't live without!

Of course, I don't run Internet Explorer

Because any web page can do anything on your PC

Doesn't take much imagination about potential programs to run. FORMAT C: being one.....

???

Dai:

Does Opera still have problems with form elements? I was using version 6 and in Yahoo & Hotmail it wouldn't allow me to select messages by using the checkbox. I didn't use it very long, so didn't check to see if there were any fixes for this.

I know I suck, but for what I do, IE 6 is great. On my slow ass dial-up 56k (that runs at only 21.6k) it loads up pages faster and more accurately than any netscape revision, and Opera doesn't seem to like my computer...at all. As in, no matter how many times I download it in different ways, it always hangs in the installer. Argh.

Opera! The beta version 7 is pretty nice, a couple things that need work, but i am sure that they will fix them. I have been using opera for like 1 year now and i love it! I never have pop-ups and the page loading speed is excellent... also the built in news reader, and email are great extras!

Sad Phoenix... sometimes.

The best browser I've used so far (I've used Opera 7, IE6, and a couple of Mozilla versions...) is, hands-down, the mozilla-based Phoenix browser.

Phoenix has a couple of brilliant little features... between type-ahead, "Open bookmarks in tabs" (the coolest feature ever), and the little Google search in the toolbar, it's the bomb... not to mention Mouse Gestures, which take a couple of days to get used to, but are bitchin' time savers when you get used to them (I don't even use the toolbar anymore, heh... just the location bar and the search bar, which I set to Google).

Unfortunately, I've had to switch... using the latest Mozilla builds. The reason is, the integral Mail client.

Anyone know of a good open source or freeware POP3 client for WinXP?

Big Grin MS all the way :)

I know some people will disagree but I find that IE6 is the best browser out there.

I mean, almost every website is made for IE and with a, was it 80%, domination on the browser world, it must be doing something right.

Just my 2 cents anyway.

Yeah, it's called marketing...
and they're not even doing that very well, given the success of Mozilla and Opera...

Mozilla

I also like Phoenix but grew tired of the anal upgrade process with new builds.

IE is okay and does work just not as cool and spiffy as Mozilla.

I also like the new Opera browser...just needs a bit more tweaking for me. I also don't like the price tag of it either.

Mozilla. IE is faster but now seems pretty featureless to me. I regularily use the two browsers, but definitely spend more time on Mozilla.

I just tried Opera 7... and if it weren't for those damned advertisements, it'd be my favorite browser.
