App error

Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module
ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x00010f29.

plus (just after it):

that doesn''t look good at all.. backup all your needed files when you can...

then if you don't mind i like to have more info from you..

list your software installed on the system..
your hardware spec.. if you have it on your sig, i have the sig turned off so pls, post them again briefly..

not sure if you can get any good info fron the DR. Watson since it's also error as i can see on the error log you posted..
anyway, go to Start -> Run... and type in Drwtsn32 then hit enter kay.

highlight one of the error dump in the Application Errors and click View,
copy the info and post, it will be very long info so all i need to see.. only one error...

ok so i format everything and do a nice clean install of windows XP Pro with SP1! so far no errors and runs good....then i try the safemode...everytime it starts loading the drivers and looks like its about 2 finish, it just reboots my system instead of going into safemode windows.....

my regular windows boot works fine...whats going on?

did the screen shows you all drivers loading?
if so what is the last file you see before it goes to reboot?.. something like "mup.sys" or "agp440.sys"

in normal mode rescan all your local disk, check for viruses, trojans as well as spywares.

your hardware spec?

i don't have any info about the file d347bus.sys and why it need to be loaded during booting to safe mode at this point.

but 1st try this.. go to your bios setting then try loading the fail safe defaults, you should remember your settings before you do that.

and then rescan your computer since boot to safe mode is required when removing a trojan, and somehow you cannot get into safe mode so this is another thing that you should check.

improper delete trojans or viruses manually can also cause this problem...

since i like your hardware spec and i like to see you can get the best out of it with a very solid win XP system..
hope you understand, you know what i really like you to do?...

..do a clean setup again... backup whatever you need to CDs/DVDs.
boot XP or XP SP1 CD direct, during the setup select the option to delete this partition and recreate a new partition then do the Windows setup.

you seem to have some problem in the past, i think the application error with the R-clicking on your previous problems are also caused by virues..

how many HDDs and partitions do you have on this system ?

how come i was not surprise at all and i told you to check virus as my 1st replied...

"how come norton and avg aren't detecting any?"
i have no idea, i suggest you check with your AV program supports...

"how come windows is working fine but can't boot into safemode?"
i probably have some idea but you probably not believe me .... check with MS supports.

didn't want to format again?
Hmm.. this thing can happen.. this is Windows you know.. always Be Ready, often backup your files...
-and-
you have to protect yourself.. get more or better protections...
tighten your web browser settings and surf the internet smart...
if you think you have known or done all that.. then do it more... that's all i can think of and tell you at this point.

you've spent quite monies for you hardwares, and you want to enjoy using it...
don't let the viruses or the likes interrupts or takes away your enjoyment time..

anyway, if all of your hardwares are in good conditions you should not have any problem after the windows setup,
then install all drivers and windows updates.. you knew all that...
then the rest of the softwares, applications and other small programs..
good idea for keep checking...
and if you have more problem or questions, pls post back.

as for "what else should i do to get this system runing finally?"
it's running now.
not sure i have answered all yours questions..

Hmm, as for now you can try installing only SP1 level, then go to windows update site to download and install an up-to-date fixes and updates later but you need to do this becos the SP1 alone is not enough..

before install the SP1, disable all running in B/G programs - especially, both norton programs...

one side note... after D/L the SP1 packaged, keep it in a CD, and if it happens that you have to reformat in future.... install the SP1 first then install the AV/FW program after.

ok i just updated windows to sp1 with all the other fixes/updates...all my drivers are up 2 date 2! safemode boot works...which means that some application i installed yesterday after having a fresh OS caused me the bootup safemode problems....this time, every app im going to install, ill do a boot check for each....

in addition to norton or AVG or whatever you use perhaps try runnign blackice protection, as it monitors absolutely EVERYTHING. Yes it's a bit on the paranoid side and can eb annoyingly picky, but until you get your system all worked out and runnign solid paranoid is better then virus infested.

okay the reason i asked is there were some XP users have noted after installing WinDVD and/or after updating from Norton,
they could not boot into Safe mode. .. so atleast i've checked all of the possible causes that i know of...

some of the D/L files have already scanned once by the AV's real-time scanner but some of the zipped files may need to be scanned again by AV's manaul scan.. if you can do it..

i think you'll be okay...

as for what programs should you use....
you should use internet more, get information about programs to use on your system from internet, listen to various reviewers and program's users before you make the decision.... then test it on your system yourself.
