(download) open from location...
If i say, go to download ANY file, and i select, "open from location".... WERE does it put the files?
See i even deleted all temporary internet files .. yet while defraging, i still see things show up that were "ran" from location, that are being moved or defraged..... yet they shoudl be deleted.. and even searching through my own files with "show hidden" on.... i can't find anything net?

I don't know if it is the same with XP, but I remember on Windows 98, when you deleted the temp internet files using that button, it didn't deleted them all. I think it kept some of the recent ones. And it hid the files from searches using the System attribute on the folders (can't remember exactly.) Maybe XP does the same thing.

"WERE does it put the files?"... D/L a file call "diskinfo.zip" using IE, and select Open,.. ![]() IE adds " [1] " to the file name... ![]() IE keeps the downloaded file at... . :\Documents and Settings\< your user ID/name >\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\CPQ3SHI7 this folder name (CPQ3SHI7) can be very anything.. ![]() in this case, you will need to search for folder... CPQ3SHI7 ![]() ![]() you can also search for " Content.IE5 ", the folder CPQ3SHI7 and the file will be in Content.IE5's your profile one... ![]() ^ that shows "where" IE/Windows keeps the file that you downloaded. if you want to search for the file... try adding [1] to file name like in my case i'll have to search for "diskinfo[1].zip". ![]() --------------------- Free file searching utility..
