Default Post how to get media player to automatically disable power settings?

does anyone know if there's a way to have windows media player automatically disable power management settings while watching a movie (i.e. stop the monitor from automatically shutting down, disable screensavers, etc)? In ATI file player this option is available, and it's a real pain with media player. thanks in advance everyone

Well in WiMP 6.4, it just happens automatically. What version do you have?

Well if you feel like, why not install 6.4 also; it should work if you install in a separate directory (I think .) You might mix up a few file associations, but that only requires an easy one-time fix.
Unless some more experienced WiMP user can solve yer problem (I haven't used a version other than 6.4 for more than a day.)
