Best way to install SP2???

I was wondering, since I have just formatted my computer for the millionth time, is it best to install SP2 from the huge file which is of 271mb or do the windows update? I should have slipstreamed but I really don't got all the files I need and stuff

I'd install it from the 271mb file, in safe mode, and leave to install without using it. I don't like windows update, i'd rather have the file

Agreed. If you HAVE to apply SP2 then I'd do it from the network installation and stay away from Windows Update V5 as long as humanly possible.

if it's time for a format anyways, slipstreamign is probably the cleanest way to do it, but as you don't want to go that route, yes...boot into safemode under the admin accoutn and sue the offlien isntaller package

I just ordered the cd from the MS. It was free and here in less than week by courier. Free and now I have my own copy.

use autostreamer xp or nLite for slipstreaming.. its pretty clean and runs smooth
