Chkdsk.exe Keeps Executing with IE

Yeah well, as the title says, the Check Disk tool keeps executing (in the task manager / processes) every time I start up Internet Explorer. Even when I end the task, it just re-executes when I open IE again (might execute with other programs too).

It's using 11,184K of memory too, so I need to get rid of it somehow. It's not listed in MSConfig, Services, or Boot.ini. Need help ASAP

Scheduled Tasks, as well as all the apps from Merijn's site, turn up nothing.

Screen from Task Manager...

use msconfig and post here which files you have on startup
and in Servces tab click on "Hide all Microsoft services" and post here all the non microsoft services.

p.s.
its can be ActiveX/IE plugin trojan so use "HiJackThis" and post here the logs

must be a damaged or virus infected file or just a MS quirk, first thing you can do is remove you page file and set it on another partition, if this dont work: goto save mode and check your HD's or better use a recovery floppy from Part.Magic or something,
a full system virus check to see if a virus is the perpetrator, might be wise also.

No, as I said before the tools from Merijin's site turn up nothing. I'll post a log later though.

No viruses or spyware, and I dont wan't to messed up Windows more by doing a repair install.
