How far does Longhorn get way from us?

The news from technewsworld :
Microsoft has released Window XP in 2001, released Windows server 2003 in 2003. so, how far does next product, Longhorn get way from us?

The latest, official MS declared Microsoft assured Longhorn has three improvements: Avalon graphical subsystem which has strong visual impaction of 3-D effect. Indigo communication subsystem which provides enhanced Web service supported; WinFS storage subsystem aided to gain data in organization and management to be convenience for searching information.

Longhorn is intending to face to you guys and girls in 2006, the server edit will be released in 2007. But the first edit of Longhorn does not integrate WinFS storage. This system will be test as BETA while Longhorn is released. The customers must wait till it is going to be finished, then upgrade to use the functions.

Microsoft has said mid to late 2006 -- or even as late as early 2008 for Longhorn. It's probably coming out sometime in 2006 sans some of the features that were promissed like WinFS.

XP rocks -- Microsoft: Take as long as you want.
